In the heart of Patagonia, these caves are breathtaking.

It is one of the most isolated treasures on this planet, which those who have seen it up close, speak of a unique experience. The Marble Caves (Capillas de Mármol) are a series of peculiar caves on the border of Argentina and Chile, in the heart of Patagonia, which create an incredible natural spectacle for the visitor.

The three main caves are La Capilla, El Catedral and La Cueva and have an impressive blue color, with various shades of green and yellow, which in combination with their formations lead to a spectacle that looks fake, even though it is 100% natural.

These special caves are located in Lake Carrera against the backdrop of the Andes Mountains, the largest lake in Chile, which owes its distinctive blue color to microparticles that come from glacial ice and float in the water refracting the blue light of sunlight.

Note that the water is extremely icy and swimming in the lake can be dangerous for this and does not take place. However, one can take a boat tour of the area on an adventure that takes about 2 hours.
