Inside David and Victoria Beckham’s ‘£20million Miami skyscraper apartment’

The purchase comes just weeks after David’s MLS franchise Inter Miami kicked off their inaugural campaign, and the apartment will join their impressive property portfolio

David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly splashed out £20million ($24m) on a luxury apartment in a towering Miami skyscraper.

The property in Miami’s One Thousand Museum building was only completed at the back end of last year, and comes with five bedrooms, a swimming pool and access to a helipad on the roof.

It is the latest plush addition to the Beckhams’ growing portfolio, along with their £31m London mansion and their £6m home in the Cotswolds.

The Beckhams will be spending more time in the city due to David’s growing commitment to his new MLS franchise Inter Miami.

As reported by the Sun, the couple were joined by their children on a tour of the skyscraper months before its completion, prompting them to take up one of the 84 residences on offer.

The impressive structure stands at 62 stories and is one of the tallest buildings in the city, giving the Beckhams panoramic views of Miami.

Cost of apartments in the building ranges between £4.7m ($5.9m) to £17.6 m ($21.9m), including a two-story duplex penthouse, four townhouses and 10 full-floor residences.

In addition to the communal pool and helicopter landing spot, the complex also boasts a two-room treatment spa; hair and beauty salon; a juice bar; and a sunbathing area.

It was designed by late architect Zaha Hadid, who was also the brains behind London’s 2012 Olympics Aquatic Centre in Stratford.

David has already spent plenty of time in Miami as he launched his franchise, who began their inaugural season in the MLS last month.

It took over six years for the club to get off the ground after Beckham’s initial announcement.

Inter Miami have so far lost both of their competitive fixtures, before the coronavirus crisis put a halt to their matches.

MLS chiefs took the decision to suspend all action in the division for 30 days from March 12, but the delay looks set to continue further.

The Beckhams are currently holed up in their Cotswold property to self-isolate away safely from the Covid-19 virus.

Their children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Seven have all joined them in the rural region.138208672551

David posted on his Instagram recently: “I wanted to send my thoughts and best wishes to you all as we face these unprecedented challenges in our world.

“We can get through this together if we focus on protecting ourselves, our loved ones and our communities.

“Sending you my love during this time, let’s keep safe.”
